Use of Restraint Policy

The Care Home’s policy is to raise awareness of the use of restraints and to consider what possible alternatives might be available. The need for the use of a restraint in the Care Home will generally arise because of a concern for the safety of the resident or others at risk.  This document outlines a specific policy on the  consultation, assessment and Care Planning of the proposed use of any form of restraint on a resident.
