Lone Workers Policy

The term “lone worker” refers to a member of staff who works alone without close or direct supervision for substantial periods of time. Lone working is not very common in a Care Home setting, but where it does occur, the member of staff will be working alone in potentially isolated conditions without any immediate backup or support, and so are potentially at greater risk than might be the case if there were other members of staff working alongside.
