The sex lives of the residents of a market town in North Warwickshire are certainly looking up.
NHS figures reveal Coleshill is officially the Viagra capital of England with more men taking anti-impotence drugs there than in any other part of the country.
With a population of just 6,343, a surgery dispensed the highest number of prescriptions for erectile dysfunction drugs and the highest number to registered male patients.

GPs in the North Warwickshire district issued 55.87 prescriptions per 1,000 men last year – 12 points ahead of its nearest rival.
But one place that hardly needs drugs to get passions rising is the City of London which
has the lowest average (1.05) of prescriptions per 1,000 adult males.
The figures, revealed in the Sunday Times, showed more use of the medication in rural areas because there were greater opportunities to get drugs privately in bigger cities.
Viagra, Cialis and Levitra were the commonest pills prescribed with some doctors happier to hand them out than others, according to an analysis carried out by the paper.
Residents of Coleshill, famous for being the original home of the of the company that invented the hair cream Brylcream, are baffled by the statistics.
Simon Kennedy, landlord of the George and Dragon pub, said there was a lively social life in the town, but desrcibed figures as ‘strange.’
He told the paper: ‘It is an old coaching town and there are a lot of pubs. I don’t know if that might be a factor. Perhaps they need some assistance after visiting all the pubs.
‘There are only a couple of chemists in the town, so they must be well stocked up on Viagra.’

Marie Stephenson, 50, who runs the Love Coleshill campaign aimed at attract visitors to the town, was shocked by figures.
She said: ‘It’s a total surprise — I would rather Coleshill was put on the map for its history, friendliness and wonderful high street.’
Of 328 local districts, Wychavon in Worcestershire is the nearest rival to Coleshill, with an average of 42.66 prescriptions per 1,000 male adults. Dartford in Kent, had 42.40.
The City of London’s figure for the lowest usage was followed by neighbouring Tower Hamlets with 1.45 and then Islington 3.17.
